Concept Logo 1
For my first conceptually designed logo I wanted to express more clearly the direction I currently want to go into within graphic design. As you may have guessed from the logo, web design has piqued my interest as I have found through making this website that I enjoy the designing process and technical aspects of making websites. This particular design started as just me playing around with shapes working on a typographical name logo however, I realized after landing on this particular typographical style that it presents a great opportunity to link myself (my initials), to a computer (web design) as the letters when placed together work perfectly as a computer monitor stands at the bottom. So I got to work designing and further realized not only could I outline it for the implied effect, but if I filled in the ‘screen’ of the monitor it implies that my work/designs are being transported to the web which further illustrates the intended effect of the design.

For My second conceptual design logo, I wanted to link my aspirations to travel with myself, so the idea started with the planet, then evolving into a planet with my name around it before finally arriving at the final design with the plane flying across to illustrate the actual traveling process. I put the text around the planet in reference to the idea of going “Around the world” showing my name, and linking myself to where I want to be. The plane is the link to reinforce the idea of traveling in the onlooker’s mind and associate it with my name in order for them to reach the final conclusion about what I want to do. is a combination of both a literal and a symbolic representation of my aspirations. The planet, my name around it and the plane flying across it, together create the final conclusion about what I want to do and where I want to be.
I feel my design is simple yet powerful and effectively communicates my aspirations to travel. The color scheme and typography’s serifs that were used in the logo also add to the overall aesthetic and make it more appealing to the viewer.
